Storyboard v.2?

Just editing a few things on the storyboard... Kinda working on it as I animate... not sure if this is the best way but it seems to be working out okay.

Ways to wake Plumbum....?

We have decided to focus on one idea for our film:
Ways to wake up Plumbum

Over the weekend we are both going to work on sketches, storyboards and animation tests showing different ways Phillipe is trying to wake up Plumbum.
Hopefully next Monday we can put our ideas together to create the final storyboard and then begin the animation ^^ Yay!

This week....

I am really excited for this project and I think that it is going to be a lot of fun!
Nicole came up with a short story which can be seen over on her blog. We might work on it a bit more before working on the storyboards this week.
I have finally been able to start full time work on this project and produced a couple of sketches of our characters together last night.

I am working on animating Phillipe in Flash... but it is a slow process as I am still learning the software as I go along. ^^ I am just working on his skipping at the moment... hopefully it will work well and then I can start animating scenes we might use in the final film.

introducing PHILLIPE

Okay... so he was already kinda introduced but now he has a name! ^^
I decided to get rid of Tina because she didn't really do much anyway... plus I felt like my cat went a lot better with Plumbum.

Tina and Plumbum

I have paired up with Nicole and her character Plumbum for this project.
I am going to spend the weekend and the next few days working on my characters and developing more ideas for how our characters could interact.

Tina

I have designed two characters who kind of come as a pair.

Tina is a tall, lanky girl who doesn't really do a lot.
She lives with her little cat who she found growing on a tree.
She is quite a dreamy character and doesn't really speak much. She spends most of her time staring into space thinking all kind of strange things.
She doesn't really listen much when people are talking to her and often mishears things and ends up repeating back the strangest things.
Her cats character is quite the opposite to her. He is very hyperactive and loves to bounce along and dance around her feet. His character could be seen as quite annoying but it doesn't really bother Tina that much, she is quite laid back about that kind of stuff.

Breda Project Introduction

I have created this blog as part of a joint project between Norwich School of Art and Design and St Joost Art Academy, Holland.
Using the internet we will be collaborating with students in Holland to make animations with our own characters.

My name is Steff and I am 21. I am studying animation in my final year at Norwich.
I have experimented with various kinda of animation over the last year such as Flash, Maya, AFX, puppet and hand drawn animation. Several pieces of last years work can been seen on my other blog >> linked to the right.
I am particulary interested in creating animations using flash and after effects as this is what I enjoy most. ^_^ Although I wouldn't mind trying something new if it doesn't appear to be too difficult.

I will be updating soon with sketch book scans, characters sheets and line tests....
